SERINA ERFJORD (NO)
My works are within a sculptural field and they usually reflect and include their surroundings, as they often constitute interventions within the gallery space or in the public realm. Some works are simple and minimal but have a character of being both subtle and monumental. I investigate different phenomenon of movement.
My interest in movements within a material is shown through my use of electromagnets, gravity, freezing elements, motors, sound light and different kinds of liquids. I often utilize unstable materials, such as liquids or light, because this kind of material makes the artwork less static, more dynamic and maybe even unpredictable. Appearance of weightless or the unnatural due to natural forces concerns and preoccupies me.
